Whose Wealth Are The Democrats Spreading Around?

Whose Wealth Are The Democrats Spreading Around?
posted October 17, 2008

Much attention has been given to Joe the Plumber in Ohio and rightfully so. When this middle class worker approached Sen. Obama on a street in his neighborhood, he told Sen. Obama that he was wanting to buy the company that he now works for. He then said that his income could approach $250,000. This is the threshold that Sen. Obama has set for being rich and wants to increase taxes for those small business owners reaching that income amount.

Sen. Obama told him and I quote,

"It's not that I want to punish your success," Obama told him. "I want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success, too.

Then, Obama explained his trickle-up theory of economics.

"My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody. I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

Maybe Sen. Obama needs to do some preaching to his running mate, "Joe the Senator."

When Sen. Joe Biden's released his tax returns for the years 1998-2007, it revealed that "Joe the Senator" does not share the same sentiment as his running mate due to the fact that Sen. Biden only gave to charity about 1/8 of 1% of his income.

I find this hypocrisy amazing.

So Sen. Obama would coerce 40-50% of Joe the Plumber's income, so he could give to the less fortunate, while his running mate, Joe the Senator, only freely contributes a miniscule 1/8 of 1% of his income to charities, who actually do a better job at helping the less fortunate?

Whose wealth are the Democrats concerned about spreading around? Let Sen. Biden start leading by example before he and his boss come calling for more money of those who have worked to achieve it.

Wake up people.
